Gen3Bio was a biotech startup at Purdue University capable of converting algae waste into useful industrial chemicals at a low cost. After the technology was validated, the founder needed to pitch the concept to their peers and to investors.

In preparation of the pitch, we designed a logo that attempted to bring the fundamental components of the technology together. This included the shape of a water droplet where algae is sourced, an infinite loop that implies recycling and a gradient that ranges from blue water to bright green algae, all harnessed and encapsulated into a single icon.

The design brought professional legitimacy and proper form to its brand as it was introduced in its pitch deck, landing page and materials.
